   Kyle began his career in 2008 in Santa Barbara dive bars and restaurants, while on the California coast he developed a passion for fresh ingredients and craft cocktails. He later was a integral part of the award winning Farm to Bar program at Wildcat Lounge, then moved to Chicago to refine his skills at Worlds 50 Best Bars like The Aviary and The Office among other renowned bars/restaurants. In 2018, he returned to Santa Barbara to co-create Glass House, a cocktail lounge celebrated for its innovative cocktail program and chic atmosphere.

 

   The Pandemic unfortunately closed Glass House in March 2020 where Kyle pivoted his consulting business into virtual happy hours, cocktail classes, and outdoor events. Later that year he moved to Sonoma county where he met his now wife Solveig, whose background in architectural design and event planning complemented his expertise. 

 

   Solveig, with a degree in Interior Architecture, has always been artistically inclined and driven by a passion for design. Her creative journey has naturally evolved into a fascination with product design, where she thrives on developing innovative and practical solutions for diverse needs. This enthusiasm for crafting meaningful experiences extends beyond traditional design, spilling over into the world of bartending and event planning. During college, she bartended events, festivals, and weddings, discovering that the art of mixology is a perfect blend of technique, creativity, and social interaction. Solveig has an intuitive eye for curating immersive, evocative spaces that captivate guests and allow them to fully immerse themselves in the moment. Artistic, innovative, and resourceful, She is energized by the challenge of bringing someone’s perfect vision to life, whether through design, experiences, or interactive environments. Solveig’s passion lies in creating moments and spaces that resonate deeply with others.

 

   Together, they transformed Kyle’s 1949 Chevy 3100 truck into Black Cat Beverage Company’s mobile bar, blending Kyle’s award-winning mixology with Solveig’s design expertise and creative vision. From weddings and corporate events to cocktail classes, we transform challenges into opportunities—because every moment deserves celebration.
